1. Who we are

Countyguard is a brand of Eldhurst LLC ("Countyguard," "we," "us," or "our"). We publish water-emergency information and provide a paid telephone connection service that may connect callers with independent service providers.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes information processed when you visit countyguard.com, use a telephone link on the site, or contact us. It does not govern an independent call-routing service or service provider acting for its own purposes. Their privacy practices may apply once they receive your information.

3. Information processed through the website

Countyguard does not provide account registration, contact forms, comments, or online purchases in the current version of the site. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or other tracking scripts. We do not collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or the contents of telephone calls through the website.

Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers may automatically process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site. This can include your IP address, request date and time, requested page, referring page, browser or device information, and security or error data. Countyguard may receive or access these logs when needed for security, availability, debugging, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

4. Telephone calls

Selecting a telephone link causes your device and telephone carrier to place a call. The call may be handled by an independent call-routing network and transferred to an independent service provider. The routing network or provider may receive your telephone number, call time, approximate location or service area, answers you provide, and other call information.

Countyguard is paid if a call results in a qualified connection under its agreement with the routing network. Countyguard does not charge you a connection fee, and you are not obligated to hire a provider.

The routing network or provider may record a call. If recording is used, the party recording the call is responsible for providing any notice and obtaining any consent required by applicable law. Recordings may be used for routing, quality, compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention.

Information may be disclosed to our hosting and content-delivery providers, the call-routing network, the independent provider to which a caller is connected, professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale. We may also disclose information when requested by you or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

Countyguard does not sell website browsing information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. When you request a telephone connection, call information may be disclosed to the routing network and a provider to deliver that requested service, and Countyguard may be paid for a qualified connection. Those parties may process information for their own purposes under their privacy practices.

7. Cookies and analytics

The website sets no cookies and includes no analytics, advertising, or other third-party tracking scripts. There is no cross-site identifier to limit and nothing stored on your device to clear.

Our hosting provider may produce aggregate, server-side traffic statistics — such as counts of page requests — from the standard request logs described in Section 3; these are not tied to a cookie or a persistent identifier. Because the site sets no cookies, browser Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals have nothing to act on here.

Countyguard retains information it controls only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, accounting, contractual audit, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Hosting providers, the routing network, and independent providers control their own logs and call records and may apply different retention periods under their contracts, policies, and legal obligations.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Countyguard controls, or to appeal our response. We will honor rights required by applicable law and may need to verify your request. Countyguard cannot delete information controlled independently by a telephone carrier, routing network, or service provider; you must contact that organization directly.

Countyguard does not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No Internet, telephone, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Children

The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

12. United States processing

Countyguard and its providers process information in the United States. Different states may provide different privacy rights.

13. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site, vendors, law, or business practices. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
